Physics Engineer’s New Book, ‘The Broken Gift,’ Reconciles Science & Religion on Human Origins In his newest book, “The Broken Gift,” engineering physicist and religious scholar Daniel Friedmann examines the two most popular — and apparently wildly divergent — views on the origins of human life and demonstrates that they actually agree on what happened and when.

Shabbat Shalom Weekly by Rabbi Kalman Packouz
How old is the world? 13.7 billion years or 6,000 years? Did Creation take place in 6 twenty-four days or were they longer? This week I bring to you a fascinating approach from a fascinating man. Daniel Friedmann holds a masters degree in engineering physics and is the CEO of the Canadian company that made the robotic arm for the Space Shuttle. He lays out his research in his book, The Genesis One Code.

Ideacity: Has Daniel Friedmann found ‘biblical clock’ and key to creation?
In his books The Genesis One Code and the just-published The Broken Gift, he’s come up with what he calls a “biblical clock” that puts the Bible’s six days of creation into a scientific context.
Book Review by Rabbi Chayim Lando
Resolving the timeline paradox conclusively will probably forever remain elusive, but this book is a significant contribution to a discussion that goes to the heart of both religious and scientific belief.

Interview with Daniel Friedmann, Author of The Genesis One Code
Writing non-fiction for teens and adults, author Daniel Friedmann carefully examines the relationship between scientific theory and biblical teachings in his debut The Genesis One Code: Calculations Demonstrate a Clear Alignment Between the Times of Key Events Described in the Creation Narrative in the Book of Genesis from Scientific Theory and Observation. Friedmann is the CEO of Canada’s leading aerospace company. “It’s not the end of the world that fascinates me, it’s the beginning,” he shared.

There’s a big debate between those who believe in Evolution and those who believe in Creationism. Daniel Friedmann says both can be correct – it’s just a matter of crunching the numbers.
Daniel Friedmann on the Story and Science of Creation – a 17 minute TED talk video on The Genesis One Code.
Daniel Friedmann is an engineer by day, but by night he seeks to reconcile the seemingly opposing stories of creation from the Bible and science. In this talk, he suggests that much like a blueprint, the timeline in Genesis is to scale with scientific knowledge.
Religion Vs. Science – The Debate is Over, Scientist Says
Large swaths of Americans seem to have drastically different views of how humans came to be, according to a June Gallup poll. Nearly half of America – 46 percent – agrees with the creationist view that humans are purely the product of God, absent of evolution, within the last 10,000 years. Fifteen percent believe humans evolved independent of God, which is 6 percent more than 30 years ago. These millions of Americans are pitted on two sides of a conflict which has a solution, says engineering physicist Daniel Friedmann
God meets science: In a new book, the two get along quite well
The age of the universe is routinely accepted as being 13.7 billion years. Alternately, the first five books of the Old Testament — The Pentateuch — claim the universe is 6,000 years old. I lie about my age, too, but these numbers seem impossible to reconcile. Daniel’s inquiry into the issue, however, arrived at a mathematical formula that equates divine time with human time. He calls this formula The Genesis One Code. It is also the name of the book he’s written on the subject.
Physics Engineer Daniel Friedmann’s Formula Provides Key to Biblical Clock
In his new book “The Genesis One Code” (www.genesisonecode.com), engineering physicist Daniel Friedmann shares his formula for converting “Bible time” to years as we know them in calculating the age of the universe, the sun, and life on Earth. Without any modifications, the formula consistently produces results that match scientific estimates.

The Ringside Politics With A Punch
Is the universe 13.7 billion years old or 6,000? For those who question how to reconcile the biblical account of the beginnings of the universe with the scientific theory of the Big Bang, Daniel Friedmann’s The Genesis One Code (Park East Press, Ltd. 2011) will be a welcome read, especially as we witness the origins debate seep into the public’s political, social, educational and theological conversations.
The Genesis One Code: An interview with the author
Regardless of where you stand when it comes to the origin of the universe, The Genesis One Code is a worthwhile read. I could not put it down once I was finally able to start reading…and it certainly did provide me with some fresh insight as to how creation from a Catholic standpoint can be in agreement with creation from a scientific standpoint.
